Lock Cylinder
X1 features a high-quality lock cylinder which is durable and pick-resistant. The keyhole is protected from dirt, dust and moisture with our innovative self-sealing silicone keyhole cover.
Reflective Strips

Tested against the most d-locks on the market, LITELOK X1 is at least 5 times more resistant to angle grinder cuts. Additionally, X1 requires multiple discs to cut and due to its anti-rotation system, needs to be cut on both sides to remove.

Barronium® is a fused composite armour that offers unparalleled angle grinder resistance without adding extra weight. It is a super hard ceramic composite material that repels angle grinder attacks and turns the grinder's energy and force in on itself. Continuous cutting wears down the grinder discs, batteries and ultimately the grinder motor itself.

Can X1 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X1 is at least 5 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading d-lock as well as needing multiple discs to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X1 weigh?
LITELOK X1 weighs approximately 1.7kgs or 3.7lbs.
What's the difference between X1 Bike and X1 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X1 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling d-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X1?
LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 101 x 196mm meaning you can lock more bikes in more places than other armoured u-locks.
Can I attach LITELOK X1 to my bike?
LITELOK X1 is compatible with our innovative X1 Tactical mount for mounting the lock on your bike frame. The X1 Tactical Mount fits a wide variety of bikes and e-bikes ensuring your LITELOK X1 is held securely even the roughest of terrain.
X1 is also compatible with the Twist & Go mount.
Both of the X1 mounts are sold separately.
Has LITELOK X1 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available).
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

What is LITELOK X1 made from?
LITELOK X1 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium™ anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X1 is sold with a 3 year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

Today I’m reviewing this LITELOK X1 Armoured Barronium Anti Angle Grinder Multipurpose U-Lock.
It has an artic camo print on it and it came with a set of two cool LITELOK keys to lock & unlock it with. It was a great value for money bundle deal with a free X1 Tactical Mount, free LITELOK X Pouch including a £15 off special price.
If you register within 30 days the lock and your key lock numbers you receive a 3 year manufacturing warranty and the ability to order new keys if you accidentally damage or misplace one or both of the original ones.
The lock is a great weight for what it is capable of handling and you feel comfortable and secure when you travel out with it with your traveling companion as you have a good sense of knowing your traveling vehicle is more protected & safe. Especially with the reality of knowing it is an angle grinder resistant lock and it can take quite a beating before it will ever give way, causing any thief to need a battery powered angle grinder and a host of grinder disks and precious time and energy, withstanding fiery sparks, danger and a lot of attention to have to cut not one but two bars of this lock to steal what they are hoping to steal. As cutting through one bar does not give way to the other and the lock can’t be bent out of shape to facilitate an easy steal, the process requires two bars to be cut through. Thieves be aware!
I love the fact it is made in Britain and I feel once you see how amazing this lock is & how it feels to hold…

Really happy with this lock- definitely gives me peace of mind. I travel extensively throughout Europe and in the past have used bulky chain locks which are heavy, awkward and never quite sit right on the bike. I will be using this moving forward as it is very simple, is a well known and quality brand that hopefully would be thieves will avoid!
I know the X1 plus is available which is longer but ideally there would be the X1 wide fit that would allow the lock to go over the wheels too (something I have seen from other reviewers also.)
I would also like to see an included reminder cable and 3 keys as standard like other competitors; and perhaps some anti scuff coating on the tines of the lock itself to protect metalwork when feeding it through spokes, discs, rims etc.
Overall I love that this is a British made and designed product and the Sold Secure status it has should hopefully reduce my insurance premium moving forward.
I would definitely recommend this to friends.

Very happy with the lock, the only thing I’d say is I’d prefer it a bit wider so it can go through the spoke and the tyre. The width on my r1 is slightly too wide so can only go through the spoke.

As the title says. When I got the lock, I was immediately impressed. The manufacturing on it, the fact it’s made in Britain, everything, is just premium about this lock. Watched countless YouTube videos and this one was affordable for me and I definitely feel, with this added level of security, safer to leave my bike parked up.
