The Litelok X3 Moto is one of those locks that instantly gives you confidence the moment you pick it up. The build quality is genuinely impressive — everything about it feels over‑engineered in the best possible way. The locking action is smooth, the finish is premium, and the whole thing radiates “good luck trying to cut me.”

That said, you definitely feel the security. The X3 is on the heavier side, and while that weight makes sense for the level of protection it offers, it’s something you notice when carrying it around or mounting it on the bike.

On the Keeway Superlight, the geometry of the front wheel and the placement of the spokes/holes mean the X3 doesn’t slot in perfectly straight. To get it through, you need to angle it slightly and thread it through the right gap. It’s not difficult once you get used to the motion, but the first few times feel a bit like solving a puzzle.

Once it’s on, though, it sits securely and doesn’t interfere with anything — it just takes that extra moment of positioning because of the bike’s wheel design rather than any flaw in the lock itself.

Verdict

If you want top‑tier security and don’t mind a bit of weight, the Litelok X3 Moto is a beast. On the Superlight, expect a small learning curve when fitting it through the front wheel, but nothing that gets in the way of daily use. It’s a serious lock for riders who want serious peace of mind.

I got great confidence from various Youtube videos and people struggling to cut through the X3 Moto, which I understand is aimed more at motorcyclists.

The lock is unquestionably good quality.

The reason I give it 4/5 is because the width of the lock does not fit over the front or back wheel of my R1250RS and difficult to fit through the spoke and disk of my rear weel. So my only use of the lock is through the disk and spokes of the front wheel. So limited options to fit it and interlock with other bike locks.

I feel at easy knowing my new GS is secure with the Litelok X3 lock, Ive stopped jumping out of bed at any noise outside. I feel can finally sleep knowing that my bike is still waiting for me every morning. Living in London with a motor bike is a constant worry after having two motor bikes stolen. Since having the Litelok which I make sure can be seen from under the cover has been left alone. Best investment ever! Highly recommend to anyone who has a motor bike or even a push bike.

I wanted to provide the best safety I could when taking my touring motorcycle out of town, and after much research I determined that the LITELOK X3 was the best I could do. Used together with a sturdy chain provides the best protection against theft while being portable enough for cross country travelling. In hotel parking lots where there is no anchor point, I decided to lock the front and rear wheels together with a quality chain and the LITELOK X3 D-lock. If there is an object to anchor to, I will use the chain to go around the fixed object and use the X3 on the front or rear wheel. While the quality chain and LITELOK X3 are expensive, I've come to appreciate the real, not perceived, security that they provide and that to me is worth the price.
