LITELOK X3 is armoured with Barronium®, a patent pending composite material that resists angle grinder attack by turning the grinder's energy and force in on itself. It offers at least 15 times more resistance than the best-selling D-locks without adding any extra weight. It is permanently fused to a hardened fine-grain high-tensile steel core which provides protection against all other commonly used tools such as bolt croppers, cable cutters, long bars, hammers & chisels and -40°C freeze spray.
LITELOK X3 offers at least six time the security performance of the most heavy-duty chains yet weighs only 2.1kg and is easily carried in a rucksack, stored in your panniers or strapped to your rack.

Can X3 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X3 is at least 20 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading d-lock as well as needing multiple discs and batteries to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X3 weigh?
LITELOK X3 weighs approximately 2.1kgs or 4.6lbs.
What's the difference between X3 Bike and X3 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X3 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling d-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X3?
LITELOK X3 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 100 x 195mm.
Has LITELOK X3 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Pedal Cycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available). It has also been tested by ART, and certified ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

What is LITELOK X3 made from?
LITELOK X3 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X3 is sold with a 7-year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

I'm not too pleased with the quality and finish. I know it's made to be durable, not pretty, but still... it looks very poorly made. You can feel the bumps/joints in the rubber. Compared to the finishes on a £30 lock ...

Have just received my Litelok X3. For those who may be interested here are a couple of photos to show that it does fit through the rear wheel and the gap in the shaft drive housing. By having the lock on the exhaust side (2022 1250GSA) and the lock at the bottom it makes trying to pick it that much harder.
I knew it wouldn’t fit through the front disk but I have a Roadlok and an Abus alarmed disk lock for that.

I bought the X3 moto because I have a motorbike and needed something that would deter thieves. Motorbike thieves are armed with angle grinders. Anything to delay them is great. It needed to be quick to fit and remove but difficult to defeat, I believe the X3 moto will do that. The but is because I have just renewed my motorbike insurance and the Litelok X3 is not on the approved list of security devices on any of the insurers I checked. Once it appears on those lists I will probably give it 5 stars.

Bought to secure my R1250GS. I pass the lock through the front fork caliper mount and when the wheel is positioned correctly, the lock just fits snuggly.
The only reason the review is not 100%, is that the plastic outer covering on the shackle seems quite soft and easily marks. Within a few uses it looks rather second hand. Other than that it does what it says on the tin. I would recommend it to anyone.

Okay so it’s expensive, get that out of the way. But if you think about it as a percentage of your bikes worth or what you’ve spent on other cheap locks in the past, it starts to get better value. I am not sure that I’ve found the best fitment yet either, but with an additional chain and lock on the rear wheel I feel it’s secure enough (through brake calliper & front wheel) & a deterrent to oppotunist. The Abloy lock is superb, smooth and easy with absolutely no key jiggling required.

Ordering was flawless and the product arrived sooner than anticipated, about three weeks wait against the estimated 4 for despatch. Very efficiently presented, high quality is abundantly apparent as soon as one opens the box. I chose the X3 over a larger and heavier model offered by a competitor due to its portability, and I don’t regret it as the X3 is very portable and fits perfectly in my Kriega Us-20 tailbag. This means I can fit it to the front tyre of my BMW F850GS (see photos), but I very much doubt that that set up is less secure than a rear tyre application. I hope it won’t get tested ever, however I’m confident the X3 will perform as expected. The finish exudes attention to details, such as the rubber covering around the key slot and the reflective elements all over - hopefully it’ll stay that way. It only time will tell. The carrying case is a nice to have included in the price, and it’s very handy indeed. If you’re in the market for the highest quality, portable D lock for your motorcycle look no further - this is it!

First of all I would like to thank Debra in Customer Service and the Dispatch Team at Litelok.
