LITELOK X3 is armoured with Barronium®, a patent pending composite material that resists angle grinder attack by turning the grinder's energy and force in on itself. It offers at least 20 times more resistance than the best-selling D-locks without adding any extra weight. It is permanently fused to a hardened fine-grain high-tensile steel core which provides protection against all other commonly used tools such as bolt croppers, cable cutters, long bars, hammers and chisels.
It is the most secure full-sized armoured D-lock on the market and contains a host of clever design features that make it easy to use and carry so you can keep your bike secure against the most determined bike thieves.

Can X3 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X3 is at least 20 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading D-locks as well as needing multiple discs and batteries to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X3 weigh?
LITELOK X3 weighs approximately 2.1kgs or 4.6lbs.
What's the difference between X3 Bike and X3 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X3 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a greater amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling D-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X3?
LITELOK X3 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 100 x 195mm.
How do I carry LITELOK X3 on my bike?
If you'd like to carry LITELOK X3 on your bike, you'll need to purchase the X3 Tactical Mount - a tough mount for the world's toughest lock.
Has LITELOK X3 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Pedal Cycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available). It has also been tested by ART, and certified ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

What is LITELOK X3 made from?
LITELOK X3 is built with Barronium®, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X3 is sold with a 7-year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

I would buy one if there was a chain of equal quality. I have motorcycles and without a chain this lock is useless. I could clamp it through the front tire but the motorcycle could still be lifted.

Thought I had a strong lock previously with the Kryptonite Fahgettaboudit, but was horrified after seeing how fast an angle grinder can cut through it on Youtube. My new X3 gives me full confidence to leave my bike out and deter would be thieves. It's pricey but for the quality and reassurance it gives, it is worth every penny. Great mounts for this is X3 tactical mount or the Huldit Bike lock holder (Large). Highly Recommend.

Absolutely solid unit and while nothing is 100% sure this lock is about the best you can get! The practicalities of cutting through this lock means that it's realistically too hard to do on the streets so it gives me a load of peace of mind using it. Perfect protection for my new eMTB. You can feel the sturdiness of this lock from the moment you handle it. I love the rubber protective coating and neoprene bag it comes in to protect my bike and the items in my bag from getting scratched. It is a tad heavy, but for the protection it offers, it's an acceptable trade-off. I feel more at ease knowing the protection this angle grinder-resistant lock provides.

The X3 (on the left in both photos) is clearly more heavy duty than the Kryptonite New York Standard Lock (on the right).
In addition, the key action is more precise and the rubber shielding is more robust. The keys are also thicker/heavier duty than any other bicycle lock key I’ve ever seen.
The lock action is solid as solid can be. If I were a bike thief, the X3 lock would appear more intimidating than the New York Lock.
The internal dimensions between the X3 and the Kryptonite New York Standard Lock are exactly the same, which is good since the New York Standard Lock is widely regarded as the best form factor for daily use that balances versatility and security. Kudos to Litelok for duplicating this ideal form factor.
Of course the above are all important but secondary factors beyond the critically important factor that the X3 is angle grinder resistant whereas a top of the line Kryptonite New York (or Abus) lock is not.
A few other positives on the X3 and Litelok:
We received three keys with each of the two X3 locks we purchased. We only expected two keys so this was a pleasant surprise.
Litelok says that the X3 ships in around 30 days. We received ours less than a week after we placed the order—we’re on the U.S. east coast. Shipment was via DHL from the UK.
In having reached out to Litelok customer service a few times before and after ordering, the Litelok team always got back to us quickly and in a professional manner.
