The Dutch attack-testing standard, recognised across Europe and asked for by name on a lot of motorcycle policies. All four locks are ART4 rated — worth quoting to your insurer when you renew.
The X1 family resists grinder attack at least 5 times longer than the best-selling, unarmoured D-locks. X3 is at least 20 times — enough that it needs multiple discs and multiple batteries. A thief working in public is counting minutes, and every disc change is another one.

The honest version
Every lock here is worth owning. They are not all worth owning by you — so here is who each one is built for, and who should buy something else.
For the rider whose lock spends more time on the bike than around it. At 1.48kg it is 220g lighter than X1, and the 99.5 × 137mm opening is sized for a frame tube and a stand — coffee stops, the school run, an hour outside the shops. It also makes an excellent second lock alongside a bigger one.
Built for scooters and mopeds, and for disc-and-caliper locking where a full-size opening is wasted. At 1.48kg it goes under the seat without an argument, and it still carries Sold Secure Powered Cycle Diamond and ART4.
Look elsewhere if: you leave the bike on the street overnight, or you need to reach a wheel and a stand together. you park on the street overnight, or you need to reach a ground anchor.
The default answer for most riders, and the lock we sell most of. 1.7kg, a 101 × 197mm opening that clears a frame tube and a stand comfortably, and at least 5 times more resistance to grinder attacks than the best-selling, unarmoured D-locks. If you are commuting daily on a bike or e-bike and bringing it in at night, this is the one.

That is the difference between locking the frame to the stand and locking the frame, the wheel and the stand together, which is the single most useful upgrade on this page for anyone with a cargo bike, a fat-tyre e-bike, or a habit of parking next to awkward street furniture.

If it is parked on the street or left for hours where you cannot see it, yes. If you are carrying it all day for short stops, the X1 is the better lock for you.
Nothing. They are the same lock with the same construction, dimensions, ratings and warranty. We list them separately because riders and cyclists search for different things. The same applies to X1 MINI Moto, X1 PLUS Moto and X3 Moto.

What we can tell you is how long they resist: the X1 family holds out at least 5 times longer than the best-selling, unarmoured D-locks, and X3 at least 20 times, needing multiple discs and multiple batteries. Theft in public is a race against time and attention, and that is the race these locks are built to win.
Every opening here is around 100mm wide, so a wide rear tyre will not always take a full wrap. On bigger bikes, go through the front wheel and disc, or lock to a ground anchor — X1 PLUS Moto has the reach for it at 101 × 255mm. Two ways. Key Match is for when you already own a lock and want your next one keyed to it — available on X1, X1 PLUS and X1 MINI. Keyed Alike is for buying two locks together with matching keys. Neither is available on X3, which uses the ABLOY® SENTRY cylinder.
Register your keys when the lock arrives and we can supply replacements. It takes a minute and it saves a great deal of trouble later — do it the day it turns up rather than the day you need it.
