I got the LITELOK X1 to use on my latest trip towards the Pyrenees. It’s a great bit of kit, nice and lightweight, easy to pack and give real peace of mind that your bike is safe. LITELOK X1 Moto - much better than a disc lock
Upgraded my bike security from a disc lock to the LITELOK X1 Moto and it really is a great item. Easy to deploy - it fits perfectly through the wheel hub on my GS, and just gives me peace of mind - knowing that it will take something seriously heavy duty to get past the lock, and in most cases will send the would-be thief on to another target. Really like the storage pouch supplied too.

Genuinely "Lite" Security!
After buying the X3 and Core Moto I thought I would treat myself to the X1. It's a little smaller and more portable than the X3 but what suprised me was the weight, definitely more portable than the X3, very light and very good quality. Can X1 Moto be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X1 is at least 5 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading D-lock as well as needing multiple discs to cut it.
Will a LITELOK lower my insurance?
Many UK motorcycle insurers ask for a Sold Secure Powered Cycle Diamond rated lock as part of their security requirements, and all LITELOK X-range Moto locks hold this rating. However, insurance terms vary between providers and policies, so you should always check your own policy documents or speak to your insurer.
You can view each lock's Sold Secure certification for the exact rating awarded. If your insurer requires a specific security standard, a Sold Secure Powered Cycle Diamond lock may help you meet that requirement.
Some riders report receiving lower premiums or improved insurance terms after using a Sold Secure Diamond rated lock, but this depends entirely on the insurer and individual policy.
Will a LITELOK X1 Moto fit my motorcycle?
The LITELOK X1 Moto is designed to secure most motorcycles through the brake disc, wheel or swingarm, but fit depends on your bike's wheel, tyre and brake setup.
The X1 Moto has an internal locking size of approximately 101 × 196mm, giving enough reach for many popular motorcycles while remaining compact enough for everyday use.

Riders with wider tyres or larger components on bikes such as the Kawasaki Versys and Ducati Multistrada should check fit carefully, as clearance can vary between models and model years. If you need additional reach, consider the LITELOK X1 PLUS Moto, which offers a larger internal locking area.
How much does LITELOK X1 weigh?
LITELOK X1 weighs approximately 1.7kgs or 3.7lbs.
What's the difference between X1 Bike and X1 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X1 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling d-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X1?
LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 101 x 196mm meaning you can lock more bikes in more places than other armoured u-locks.
Has LITELOK X1 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available).
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.
What is LITELOK X1 made from?
LITELOK X1 is built with Barronium®, our patented anti‑angle grinder material, applied as a permanently fused composite armour to provide maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. An eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.

What is the warranty?
LITELOK X1 is sold with a 3 year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.
