LITELOK X3 Saves Motorcycle in Lancashire #143

In the early hours of 7th July 2026, Declan became the latest rider to share how his LITELOK X3 helped protect his motorcycle during an attempted theft.

Posting in the North West Bikers Facebook group, Declan described how two thieves armed with an angle grinder targeted his Honda Hornet outside a gym in Burnley, Lancashire.

Despite arriving equipped with an angle grinder, they left empty-handed.

“At 2:30 this morning 07/07/2026 two young white lads on an e scooter tried robbing my bike in Burnley outside the gym. Went outside as they left failing to cut my lock. They came back as the police were on their way, such cowards wouldn't get any closer to me even with them having a angle grinder in hand, all they did was try egg me on, they would have bolted if I ran for them.

If anyone has any info please give us a message. I bet they posted stuff on tick tock or something as they do.”

The thieves were unable to cut through the lock before fleeing the scene.

In the comments, fellow rider Jay recognised the lock involved and asked:

“Can’t beat LITELOK, saving loads of bikes at the min, is that the X3 Declan?”

Declan confirmed it was a LITELOK X3, adding:

“Yeah, it’s the X3. Honestly the metal isn’t even damaged, just a scratch.”

While the attack left a visible mark on the lock, the attempted angle grinder attack failed to compromise it, helping keep Declan's motorcycle secure.

Another Motorcycle Saved

Declan's Honda Hornet, valued at approximately £5,000–£6,000, remained exactly where he left it thanks to the protection of his LITELOK X3.

Every failed theft is a reminder that making a motorcycle harder and slower to steal can be enough to stop criminals in their tracks. In this case, despite arriving with an angle grinder, the thieves failed to defeat the X3 before abandoning their attempt.
