What makes our Lightest Grinder Resistant Lock?
LITELOK X1 Mini is our lightest armoured D-lock and contains a host of clever design features that make it easy to use and carry so you can keep your bike secure against the most determined bike thieves.
Lock Cylinder
X1 Mini features a high-quality lock cylinder which is durable and pick-resistant. The keyhole is protected from dirt, dust and moisture with our innovative self-sealing silicone keyhole cover.
Reflective Strips
All X1 locks are finished with Quartz White or Arctic Camo retro-reflective vinyl strips along the lock shackle and on the X's at each end. The reflective strips flash in headlights to keep you safe and seen.
Anti-Rotation
All X1 locks possess a unique anti-rotation feature protects against twisting attacks and single cuts. This means that to remove an X1 Mini, a thief would need to cut it twice.
Easy to Carry
X1 Mini is compatible with our innovative X1 Mini Tactical Mount and our Restrap Lock Holster which means you can attach the lock to your frame with ease. Both mounts are sold separately.

Tested against the best-selling D-locks on the market, LITELOK X1 Mini is at least 5 times more resistant to angle grinder cuts than the best-selling unarmoured D-locks. Additionally, X1 Mini requires multiple discs to cut and due to its anti-rotation system, needs to be cut twice to remove.

Barronium® is a fused composite armour that offers unparalleled angle grinder resistance without adding extra weight. It is a super hard ceramic composite material that repels angle grinder attacks and turns the grinder's energy and force in on itself. Continuous cutting wears down the grinder discs, batteries and ultimately the grinder motor itself.

Can X1 MINI be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X1 MINI is at least 5 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading D-lock as well as needing multiple discs to cut it.

LITELOK X1 MINI weighs approximately 1.48kg / 3.26lbs.
What's the difference between X1 MINI and X1 MINI Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions of X1 MINI. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X1 MINI can be used as an effective security device for a variety of bicycles and motorcycles.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X1 MINI?
LITELOK X1 MINI has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 99.5mm x 137mm.
Can I attach LITELOK X1 MINI to my bike?
LITELOK X1 MINI is compatible with our innovative X1 MINI Tactical mount for mounting the lock on your bike frame. The X1 MINI Tactical Mount fits a wide variety of bikes and e-bikes ensuring your LITELOK X1 MINI is held securely even the roughest of terrain.
X1 MINI is also compatible with the Restrap Holster.
Both of these carrying solutions are sold separately.
Has LITELOK X1 MINI been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by independent testing bodies Sold Secure and ART. Both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available) and ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.
What is LITELOK X1 MINI made from?
LITELOK X1 MINI is built with Barronium®, a patented anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.

What is the warranty?
LITELOK X1 MINI is sold with a 3 year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

After my racing bike was stolen and I replaced it with a fairly expensive new bike, I decided I needed to upgrade my lock. After a lot of research I settled on the Litelock X1 Mini as the lock best combining high security with small size and light weight. While I have not had an opportunity to put the lock's anti-theft features to the test (and hope I never do!), I can say that the lock feels incredibly strong and I cannot see any obvious weak points in its construction. This should make bicycle thieves move-on. Also comes with a neat soft pouch to store it in. Three things to note though:
1. The lock is HEAVY--even though it is the lightest angle grinder lock it still weighs a lot. I live in flat Illinois and have not noticed any adverse effects riding with it but I can imagine on a long hill in Colorado this lock might be cumbersome.
2. The lock does not fit easily in a non Litelock holder. I did not order the holder and now will have to--I can make it fit in my generic lock holder, but it rattles constantly because the shackle does not fit tightly into the cross bar. I understand this is a feature rather than a flaw (makes it harder for a thief to keep the lock still as they attempt to cut it) but it still is rather annoying--the official holder is, I believe, supposed to eliminate this issue.
3. The lock is narrow--it fits fine over the wheel and frame on my racing bike (which is the bike I bought it for) but it is not wide enough to fit over the wheel of my road…

I have never felt so at ease parking my bike on the street, with the litelock I don't have to worry about bike being stolen knowing how tough one of these locks would taken 3 grinding docs only to get through the skin of it. Pure freaking magic

The right size for a Suzuki gsxr750 K4. Fits around the spoke and through the disk with a bit of thought. Also fits in the under seat storage space.
Also fits my chain, an Oxford hex link (14mm?), but only in 1 direction.
(I suspect that because of the shape of the under seat storage, even the longest length X1 could fit as there are 2 large holes at the bottom end of the storage that align nicely with the distance between the 2 ends of the U. But I haven't tried it out.)

Hi recently acquired a x1 mini lock it does fit on the nt1100 front wheel but as to be footed around disc and wheel spokes a bit of a tight fit but when you’ve done it a couple of times it’s not a problem and if there were to attempt to cut it off with a grinder there’s not much room to get at it and also a plus it fits in my tank bag for ease of carrying on bike

I am so pleased with my new LITELOK X1 Mini lock. This is the first time I’ve tried the brand and was concerned the mini lock wouldn’t be big enough but it’s been working very well at London’s busy Liverpool Street Station. Enough room for me to lock main frame and just about light enough for me to carry in backpack.
