LITELOK X1 Saves Bikes in Poland #77

When bike thieves struck a multi-storey car park in Wrocław, Poland, they didn’t expect to be stopped — not by a person, but by a piece of next-level engineering: the LITELOK X1.

This is Jacek's Success Story. 

On the 2nd of August Jacek and his partner experienced an attempted theft. That Saturday morning, a local couple’s bikes were targeted in broad daylight. Two high-value bicycles, tangled together and locked securely, were the focus of the attempted theft.

“It was actually two bikes tangled together with X1. Value about 4000 EUR each.” - Jacek

Both bikes had been locked using multiple layers of protection.

"I have also locked them using Kryptonite evolution u-lock and Onguard - both cut with an angle grinder.”

Despite cutting through two locks with power tools, the thieves didn’t get far. The couple’s most valuable bikes were saved — thanks to the one lock that didn’t get cut: the LITELOK X1.

“To cut a long story short, my wife saw thieves fleeing on bicycles from the multi-storey car park where we keep our bikes at 10:20 a.m. She was so shocked that she could only yell at them. It later turned out that the thieves had used an angle grinder to cut through two of our locks and steal one of our bikes. Fortunately, they failed to cut through the other lock, so our most valuable bikes were saved this time.”
