LITELOK at Taffy Dakar 2026: Demonstrating Real-World Motorcycle Security Against Angle Grinder Attacks

We always enjoy exhibiting at events, and it’s especially special when they’re close to home here in Wales, surrounded by the rolling green hills. The Taffy Dakar was a brilliant opportunity to connect with so many of you, and it was a pleasure to demonstrate first-hand the difference between a standard unarmoured lock and the strength and protection of the LITELOK X3.

About the Taffy Dakar

The Taffy Dakar is a unique adventure motorcycling challenge held annually in the heart of South Wales. Running since 2014, it blends the excitement of navigational riding with a vibrant festival atmosphere, attracting hundreds of riders from across the UK and Europe.

Riders navigate scenic trails and hidden routes using traditional maps and question sheets — no GPX files or shortcuts, just skill and adventure. Evenings bring live music, socialising, and a strong sense of community among adventure motorcycling enthusiasts.

Proudly run as a not-for-profit, the Taffy Dakar donates all proceeds to charities including Wales Air Ambulance, Blood Bikes Wales, and various local youth and community groups, making it an event driven by both passion and purpose.

Angle Grinder Demo

Our angle grinder demonstration highlights the real-world difference between a standard unarmoured lock and the LITELOK X3.

It’s always great to see people’s reactions when we demonstrate an angle grinder against our locks, and it’s an important part of what we do. These demos help raise awareness of real-world bike theft methods, and why stronger protection matters in keeping your ride secure.

Success Story

It was great to meet Dave at the event, who stopped by to share his experience with us.

We spoke with him about an attempted theft of his Pan America in an underground car park in London around eight months ago. Thanks to his LITELOK, the bike remained secure, a real-world reminder of why dependable security makes all the difference.
