Tactical Mount for LITELOK X3

It's a big thing. It is quite pleasant to the touch. I easily fixed it to my frame (more rectangular than round). It holds the lock well and also holds well on the frame. As I wrote in the review of the X3, at first there were some problems with inserting the lock into the mounting hole, but later everything rubbed together and holds perfectly. The only thing that confused me at the beginning and still confuses me now is the plastic clamps, which are probably not simple plastic (because they feel different), but they are not metal. I wish they would hold and serve for a long time. Otherwise, everything is fine

I think the litelok x3 is an impressive lock! I really like the rubber outer casing that prevents the lock from scratching the wheel of frame. I also like the rubber key protector, preventing water getting into the barrel!

I just feel the D shape part of the lock needs to be a little wider, to allow the lock to fit over the tyre and wheel on the rear.

The tactical mount is a must!!!! Works perfectly and saves carrying the lock!

Overall I was impressed.

I also like the fact that it was manufactured in the UK!!!!

I think it's pretty good and does the job well. I like not having to strap my lock to my bike rack or carry it in a pannier. I would have given it five stars but for an ergonomic design detail that would have been nice to have... I carry my bike up and down my basement steps daily by grabbing the top tube and lifting it onto my shoulder. My grip is within a few inches of the seat tube. The square underside profile of the mount makes my grip looser and the bike more unwieldy so it makes this task harder. A curved underside profile would help. I considered alternative placements and this placement (see pic) caused the fewest problems. It's too bad that this mount has to be so big because I would have liked to put it on the seat tube—but that would have interfered with the most secure way I lock my bike up (by running the lock through the back tire, seat tube, and bike rack). I love how tightly the lock fits in the mount—no wiggling at all—but the protective rubber straps that protect the bike finish from the tightening straps are becoming misaligned because of the force I have to apply when placing/shoving the lock into the mount. (I'll try tightening up the straps some more.) Maybe LITELOK will keep working on a mount that will work with the attachment points/screws that seem standard on bike frames and we can avoid the clunky look of the fastening straps in a future redesign. The Mount for my LITELOK X3 is a very welcome accessory for my bike and not before time. The weight of the lock (a good thing) means it’s difficult to transport if I didn’t want to use my panniers. The Mount is very robust and after a few minutes reading the instructions was fairly easy to install. I have mine located vertically on the bike and it fits perfectly on the Seat Tube (I have a Specialized XL frame). It doesn’t rattle as I ride and so far no danger of the lock slipping the mounting. Good Mount and good value for money.
