Had my old bicycle stolen with a U-lock from a popular company within seconds. After doing some research I ended up purchasing the X3 for my new ebike. Love this thing. Can X3 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X3 is at least 20 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading D-locks as well as needing multiple discs and batteries to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X3 weigh?
LITELOK X3 weighs approximately 2.1kgs or 4.6lbs.
What's the difference between X3 Bike and X3 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X3 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a greater amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling D-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X3?
LITELOK X3 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 100 x 195mm.
How do I carry LITELOK X3 on my bike?
If you'd like to carry LITELOK X3 on your bike, you'll need to purchase the X3 Tactical Mount - a tough mount for the world's toughest lock.
Has LITELOK X3 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Pedal Cycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available). It has also been tested by ART, and certified ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.
What is LITELOK X3 made from?
LITELOK X3 is built with Barronium®, a patented anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.

What is the warranty?
LITELOK X3 is sold with a 7-year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

I got the touring package X1 and X3, and you can tell the difference, but they're both quality. I wanted a lock for the front and back, but unfortunately, they won't fit my rear wheel on my R1200GSA with Pilot 6s. I just use both locks on the front, as you can see in the pictures, hoping it'll deter the tea leaves. Litlok gave great service and excellent communication throughout.

The angle grinder-proof-ness-ability of these locks have been well sold and demo'ed in their videos online, so I was sold on this lock. However, what I want to shut about is how usable the thing is. I was fully expecting it to be a hefty lump of lock as a trade off for having something so secure. This is not the case! Its significantly lighter than the previous, far less grinder-proof, steel shackled lock I was using. The price is steep but fair, and its well worth checking with your insurance to see if having this beefy bad boy will affect your premium, as mine was reduced by pretty much the cost of the lock. So it paid for itself!

I have gone through the trauma of having my bike stolen last year and still have anxiety about it. The thieves used an angle grinder on a very expensive lock. I did a considerable amount of research from many experts destroying various locks including angle grinder trials. The X3 came up best. It isn’t cheap, but then, losing a bike and the time reporting, investigating, phone calls and anger isn’t an easy path either. This technology was pioneered in the UK, I am supporting a UK business and the locks are made here in the UK. The team at LiteLok were very helpful, answered questions by emails quickly. Police try their best but have little time to investigate the many thefts, due in part to the number of inadequate locks being sold. Discouraging criminals from making cycling an easy target is essential to protect all of us. You will also get cheaper insurance. If you value your bike get a couple of these, they are the best on the market.

The lock is well made and the protected rubber coating prevents my wheels from being scratched.
I use the lock through the front wheel and disk, this prevents the disc being cut. The key mechanism is great in that it keeps water out.

Bought to secure my motorbikes when out and about. It’s a high quality item, very well built. Check the sizes it only just goes around my front tire of my ninja 500 and my tracer 7, and you have to squeeze it on. It’s also quite difficult to get the bar off the tolerances are so tight, but I guess this is a good thing! Happy with my purchase and feel like it will do its job of putting people off stealing my bike!!

Ordered this lock after seeing it on YouTube being advertised by That Biker Simon and also watching it being tested to destruction by Bennett’s bike social, where it out performed all its rivals. Very pleased with the quality and the packaging, its own little carry pouch and the rubberised protective covering. It fits well through the spokes of my bike and I feel confident that it will resist any angle grinder attack or push away theft that seems to be popular these days.
