LITELOK X1 Saves Orbea E-Bike in Newbury #158

John commutes by train every day and leaves his bike in the Newbury station bike parking from 7am to 7pm. The station has plenty of CCTV, but that didn’t stop his previous bike being stolen a year earlier. This time he bought better locks, including the LITELOK X1, to protect his Orbea e-bike, which has an internal battery and a rear hub motor.

When he came back at the end of the day, the bike was still there. Someone had cut straight through the X1’s outer rubber cover on the shackle, but the Barronium armoured lock held and the lock was still fine. Scuffs further along the arm show that someone had also had a go earlier, probably with a saw or a similar tool.

"Came back to find bike still there but with a cut thru the rubber. Lock still fine so will continue to use it."

John will keep using the X1, and in the new year he intends on doubling up and will purchase another LITELOK X1 to enhance his bike's protection.
