How Tough is the LITELOK X3?

These Women Riders Put It to the Test

On May 31st, Sherrie— also known as MotoAdvisor—stopped by LITELOK HQ with a group of her awesome women riders. Their mission? To see just how tough the LITELOK X3 really is.

We kicked things off by chatting with riders about their views on motorcycle security and the everyday risks they face. Professor Neil Barron, CEO and Founder of LITELOK, gave an in-depth overview of our motorcycle security product range, highlighting the wide variety of solutions we offer.

Next came the hands-on part — an angle grinder challenge where four riders put their own locks to the test, then compared them with the LITELOK X3.

It was a great opportunity for riders to experience the difference first-hand. Because when it comes to locks, not all are created equal.

After testing both unarmoured and armoured locks, Neil asked Sherrie for her thoughts on the X3's performance.

“We’ve tested some unarmoured locks today and you’ve had a go at grinding, and you were very good at it, I have to say. You’re also very good at destroying discs on our Barronium®. Was there any surprise?” – Neil

“It was actually not what I expected. I was surprised. It felt like it was fighting me back.” – Sherrie

Neil then asked if there were any surprises when testing the unarmoured lock.

“And cutting the unarmoured lock, did that surprise you? How quick it was?” – Neil

“Yes. I’ve watched videos, quite a lot of videos before deciding on what to buy. So, I’ve seen others but when there’s other people doing it, I always worry, is it genuine? You know how you seen it online and you’re like oh have they’ve been paid to say it or to do it in a certain way. So, to do it myself was actually just, it just meant more and to actually feel how it went through. I had to put some pressure on it but not a lot. Once you start going then it’s quite smooth.” - Sherrie
