Can X3 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X3 is at least 20 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading d-lock as well as needing multiple discs and batteries to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X3 weigh?
LITELOK X3 weighs approximately 2.1kgs or 4.6lbs.
What's the difference between X3 Bike and X3 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X3 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium™ that each lock features. X3 uses a higher amount of Barronium™ meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling d-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X3?
LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 100 x 195mm.
Has LITELOK X3 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by Sold Secure and both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Pedal Cycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available). It has also been tested by ART, and certified ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.

What is LITELOK X3 made from?
LITELOK X3 is built with Barronium™, a patent-pending anti-angle grinder material that is applied as a permanently fused composite armour, providing maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium™ layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium™ anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X3 is sold with a 7-year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

I was initially unsure whether the Litelok X3 would fit my BMW R1250GSA with off-road tyres. I couldn’t find any reviews from people using the exact same setup, which made me hesitate. After asking in my bike group, someone mentioned they had bought the X3 and confirmed it worked with their GSA, so that gave me the confidence to go ahead and order one.
Because you can’t see or try these locks in stores, I was close to buying the Hiplok equivalent instead. In the end, I’m glad I went with the Litelok.
The buying process wasn’t perfect communication could have been better, and the tracking tool didn’t really line up with when the lock arrived. That said, once it turned up, any doubts I had quickly disappeared.
From the packaging to the product itself, you get a real sense of quality straight away. The lock feels solid and well-built, but at the same time it’s easy to use. It slides on and off the tyre without any fuss, the key goes in smoothly, and the bolt comes apart and locks back together without any struggle. It fits snugly, which is exactly what I was hoping for. The included case is a bonus and makes storing and carrying it much easier.
I can’t give a full review of its security capabilities, since I don’t have the luxury of trying to destroy one myself, but based on video reviews and the certification, my thought was that it’s far better to have one on the bike than not. The lock just fits on my BMW as a disc lock and I am using it all the time on my Eastern Europe tour. I feel much safer leaving the bike outside overnight than I was before. It’s a really sturdy thing and hard to believe anyone could get it off. My only suggestion is to try and make the fit easier! But it’s worth it.

It’s solid and seriously tough!. Heavy but not an issue if you have a top box. The Litelok X3 Moto is one of the most grinder-resistant locks out there and gives real peace of mind. Pricey but worth it to know your bike’s safe.

I bought the X3 to secure my dirt bike inside my van and also to deter any opportunity theft when left unattended outside at off-road events. With there being no other form of security on these type of bikes I wanted the ultimate, the X3!
The quality feel of this lock exceeded my expectations and gives me the reassurance I need for both my off-road bike, and also my adventure motorcycle that I use to extensively travel the UK and Europe.
