Al’s story shows exactly why having the right security matters.

"I live in London but was visiting my mum yesterday in Southampton Hospital - so it was parked there in their underground carpark."

Normally, Al’s KTM 1290 Adventure R (2022 plate) is kept secure in a locked garage. But while away, he relied on multiple layers of protection: the LITELOK X3 on the front wheel, an Oxford alarmed disc lock on the rear, and a LITELOK Core Moto on the handlebars, also securing his helmet.

"It wasn't locked to anything (nothing available), so I guess they hit the X3 first, knowing it was the strongest link. You can see from the photos that they gave the lock a good go in 4 or 5 places, but couldn't even dent the core."

Despite a determined attack , likely with bolt cutters , the X3 held firm, stopping thieves in their tracks.

"Thanks again, I think you saved my bike.. and the headlights were stolen from my car the night before, so I need it more than ever. I simply wanted to let you know that the lock held up against a serious attempt, and I’m very grateful for the protection it provided."

"Thank you for producing such a robust product."

Because of the X3, Al’s bike was protected, and he was able to ride home with peace of mind.

Equipped with a Sold Secure Diamond-rated lock, thieves are often deterred before they even try, and those who do are usually stopped in their tracks.

The LITELOK X3 is reinforced with Barronium®, a patent-pending composite material designed to resist angle grinder attacks by redirecting the grinder’s energy and force back on itself. It delivers at least 15 times the resistance of leading D-locks without adding extra weight. Barronium® is permanently fused to a hardened, fine-grain high-tensile steel core, offering protection against all commonly used theft tools, including bolt cutters, cable cutters, long bars, hammers, chisels, and even -40°C freeze spray.
