Can X1 be cut with an angle grinder?
Unfortunately, all locks can be cut with the right tools and enough time. The exact time it takes depends on a number of factors like the power of the angle grinder, the type of discs used and the skill of the user. During our own and independent tests we found that X1 is at least 5 times more angle grinder resistant than the current leading D-lock as well as needing multiple discs to cut it.
How much does LITELOK X1 weigh?
LITELOK X1 weighs approximately 1.7kgs or 3.7lbs.
What's the difference between X1 Bike and X1 Moto?
There is no difference between the Bike and Moto versions. They are exactly the same locks. The reason why we differentiate them is to show how X1 can be used as an effective security device for all types of bicycles and motorcycles.
What's the difference between X1 and X3?
LITELOK X1 and X3 are both highly resistant to angle grinder cuts. This resistance comes from the layers of Barronium® that each lock features. X3 uses a greater amount of Barronium® meaning it has a higher resistance to angle grinder cuts than X1. X1 has at least 5 times the resistance to angle grinder cuts compared to the best selling d-locks whereas X3 has at least 20 times the resistance.
What is the locking circumference of LITELOK X1?
LITELOK X1 has a full-sized locking circumference of approximately 101 x 196mm meaning you can lock more bikes in more places than other armoured u-locks.
Can I attach LITELOK X1 to my bike?
LITELOK X1 is compatible with our innovative X1 Tactical mount for mounting the lock on your bike frame. The X1 Tactical Mount fits a wide variety of bikes and e-bikes ensuring your LITELOK X1 is held securely even the roughest of terrain.
X1 is also compatible with the Twist & Go mount.
Both of the X1 mounts are sold separately.
Has LITELOK X1 been independently tested?
Yes, it has been thoroughly tested by independent testing bodies Sold Secure and ART. Both locks achieve Sold Secure Powered Cycle and Bicycle Diamond levels (the highest ratings available) and ART4.
(Note: Sold Secure is owned and administered by the Master Locksmiths Association (a not-for-profit trade association) and works from purpose built laboratories in the UK.
What is LITELOK X1 made from?
LITELOK X1 is built with Barronium®, our patented anti‑angle grinder material, applied as a permanently fused composite armour to provide maximum cut resistance and protection from angle grinder attacks. The Barronium® layer repels angle grinder discs.
The X range comprises of three layers of protection:
1. A fine-grain, hardened high-tensile steel core providing inner strength against multiple tool attacks
2. Barronium® anti-angle grinder armour, permanently fused to the core to repel angle grinder discs
3. A plant-based eco-rubber outer layer is soft to touch, so it won't damage your frame.

What is the X1 Key Match for?
The X1 Key Match allows you to order multiple LITELOK X1 locks that can be opened using the same set of keys.
This is particularly useful if you:
- Use multiple locks on a single bike (e.g. double-locking)
- Secure multiple bikes
- Want to reduce the need to carry several different keys
With Key Match, all selected locks are matched to a single key set, making it simpler, more convenient, and easier to manage your security setup.
What is the warranty?
LITELOK X1 is sold with a 3 year warranty to provide peace of mind and covers mechanical or operational faults through normal usage. The warranty does not cover aesthetic wear and tear. It is important to register your lock and keys with us so that in the event that you lose your keys, replacements can be ordered.

This is my second Litelok X1 - first one I bought for my racing bike, and given my good experience with it, I decided to buy another one for my e-bike. I live in London and initially was very nervous every time I parked my e-bike on the street while running errands. The Litelok is a well made bit of kit and I’m sure is a visual deterrent to would be thieves. Hopefully never have to test the theory but it is reassuring to have it on when leaving the bike in public places and unattended at home. Comes in a good quality carry sleeve for storage when out and about, probably going for an XL version for the back.

I’d seen lots of reviews and watched some of the comparison videos. And knew I needed to upgrade from my £20 Oxford disc lock! With a trip to Spain imminent I payed the somewhat high price - though as always you get what you pay for.
It certainly feels worth it when you use the lock - of course the ultimate test is not having your bike stolen.
You certainly feel the quality and it does give a reassurance when you park up and wonder off. I have found it easier to use than my old disc lock, this again motivates you to use it.
No real negatives except for a light cosmetic score on the white line. This has no effect on the lock and doesn’t bother me.

Hi, the internal dimensions are a bit tight, so I am considering switching to the X1 Plus. The rubber cover intended to protect the keyhole is loose and therefore gets lost easily. Aside from that, it makes a very solid impression. I would recommend the X1.

After watching product reviews and having recommendations from a couple of friends I decided to give the X1 Moto lock a go on the KTM 990R that I use for travel trips.
Initial view is a very solid lock, obviously heavy duty but not overly heavy or bulky.
I found the lock sits neatly in the rear pocket of my kriega US 10 or straps directly the the rear rack.
Easy operation, quick to mount and looking forward to the extra security the lock will provide whilst on trips and day to day use, giving more peace of mind in an increasingly difficult world for travelling motorcyclists.

Really like the look and feel of the X1 moto. My Scrambler Urban Enduro will definitely be better protected.
