Five years of development with Swansea University's School of Engineering went into one idea: make the thief's best tool work against them.

Questions riders ask.
Can an angle grinder cut through it?
Given enough time, discs and batteries, yes. No lock is angle grinder proof, and we won't pretend otherwise. X1 is built to make an attack slow, loud and expensive. In BikeRadar's lab test it took 4 minutes 38 seconds to cut, including disc changes. It needs multiple discs, and its anti-rotation design means it has to be cut on both sides to remove. That's at least 5× the resistance of the best-selling, unarmoured D-locks. Thieves generally want to be away in 30 seconds.
Will it fit my motorcycle?
Most riders lock it through the front wheel and brake disc, through spokes, or around a spoke and the swingarm. Inside, it measures 101 × 197mm. Is X1 Moto different from X1?
No. It's the same lock at the same price, with the same armour, the same ratings and the same box, including the neoprene X-Pouch. We list it separately so riders can see how it's used on motorcycles.
How do I carry it?
It weighs 1.7kg. Riders carry it in a top box, panniers, a rucksack or under the seat, and the included X-Pouch stops it rattling or marking your kit. A Tactical Mount is sold separately.
Will it lower my insurance?
That's up to your insurer, so check with them. Some riders tell us it helped. X1 Moto is rated Sold Secure Powered Cycle Diamond, Sold Secure's top grade.
Delivery and returns?
Free standard UK delivery and free InPost locker or shop collection. Next working day delivery is £6.99. Exclusions apply for some areas, including Northern Ireland, the islands and the Scottish Highlands. Returns are accepted for a refund within 30 days of dispatch.
