Will CORE Flex fit my waist?

CORE Flex will fit a waist size up to around 41 inches. Each lock is supplied with an elasticated wearable kit. You don’t need to close the lock around your waist, the wearable kit secures the lock while you wear it for comfort. 

How secure is CORE FLEX? 

CORE Flex is independently tested by Sold Secure and has achieved the Gold rating. Sold Secure Gold is the insurance recommended performance level for most bikes above £1,500 and now most E-Bikes. 

What is CORE FLEX ideal for?

CORE FLEX is ideal for longer stops in higher risk areas and for commuters who need a high level of security.

Can I attach CORE FLEX to my bike? 

Yes, the CORE Flex is supplied with a set of wrap straps and frame mounts. These can be used to mount the lock to your frame or pannier rack etc. With so many frame variations please feel free to contact us for assistance on this. 

What is CORE FLEX made of? 

CORE Flex is made of 3 layers of protection. A high tensile steel core, steel radial protection and then protected by a plant based biopolymer. The whole construction is then covered with the abrasion sleeve. 

Can you coil CORE FLEX? 

Yes, you can! The Flex construction allows the lock to be coiled down and secured with the wrap straps. 

How much does CORE FLEX weigh? 

CORE Flex weighs 1.7kg (3.7lbs) making it one of the lightest Sold Secure Gold locks available. 

How do I lock my bike with a CORE FLEX?

    Excellent - does the job

    Did a lot of online research before settling on this. It needed to be relatively lightweight and easily carried but still meet the Gold standard. Lightweight is subjective, but this although still quite heavy is lighter than a lot of other options out there. It is classed as wearable security and can be attached round waist. Have done this once and didn’t find any issues. It wasn’t uncomfortable and didn’t feel that heavy, probably because weight is evenly distributed around your girth! Most of the time when I need the lock I will have a small rucksack and the Litelok Flex fits very easily and again doesn’t feel too heavy. You notice it initially when you pick up the rucksack but once that is around your shoulders I hardly notice it. It is very well made and I imagine that anyone wanting to steal your pride and joy wil have a very tough job cutting through the Litelok. It is nicely protected with a sleeve and rubberisation of the lock casing. There is a small sliding rubber seal that stops water ingress to the guts of the lock. A very nice feature. It is a little on the stiff side so attaching it to your bike could be easier, but have a quick practice and you’ll get it. All-in-all, I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend.

    peace of mind

    incredibly secure, and once I had a practice and worked out how to hold and lock/ unlock it all has been fine. It would be amazing if it was more flexible and fitted between the spokes on my bike, but then it would not be as safe and I can not have it all!

    Heavy secure e-bike lock.

    It is heavy to wear around the waist but I got used to it.

    Too short to fix around a lamppost, and rather inflexible so care must be taken passing through a wheel between the spokes. Otherwise I’m happy.

    Not very flexible

    I regret buying this lock. It is not very flexible - it takes a lot of strength to coil it into a smaller round and then secure it with the velcro straps. I have tried to fit it to the frame of three bikes (e-bike, touring bike and commuter hybrid bike), and it will not fit any of them so I end up with it taking up a lot of space in a pannier.

    It is very sturdy, no doubt very secure, and seems well made. The lack of flexibility makes it challenging to lock a bike to a rack.

    Handy and strong

    Not too heavy. Have to put some effort into twisting it through the spokes, round the frame and round the fixed post. I want another longer one but they seem to be totally out of stock everywhere!

    Very clunky

    I had one before (everything was stolen using an angle grinder) but this replacement is much stiffer, harder to get through spokes, and much less comfortable to wear as a sash. I combine the two as I prefer it to around the waist - I'm not 'big' but it's a tight fit if you're not skinny.

    I also preferred having one key instead of two for both locks.

    Good lock, but the body is too big to fit a standard extension cable through.

    I'm please with the lock itself, it's a very sturdy bit of kit. Unfortunately I am used to using a cable extension (Kryptonite Krytoflex) to wind through my front wheel. When I had a U lock this solution worked very well, but the body of the Litelok is too big to get through the loops of the cable.

    I was hoping Litelok might have been able to suggest an alternative (like why don't they make one themselves as an add-on?) but they were unable to suggest any alternative.

    75mm LITELOK CORE FLEX

    I just received the locks (2 75mm locks) late yesterday) and will be out riding around with my e-bike today.

    They are quite heavy duty and somewhat stiff. But, if that is what I need to avoid getting my $4k Evelo Atlas e-bike safe, the so be it! I also have a Krytonite ulock. I will use the ulock to lock to a secure location and the two 75mm LITELOK COE FLEX together around the wheels and frame/ulock.

    I will finally feel safe and secure!
